Green Party

A fair deal for young people - and their parents

Greens think it's unfair that young people hanging around are seen as a problem, when all too often they simply have nowhere to go - and activities for young people are being reduced across the country.

  • Greens in Parliament will fight for a fair deal for young people - and their parents - including local provision of a variety of activities that give fun and affordable places to go and things to do.

The Green Party think it's unfair that some parents feel the need to move house to get their children into a decent school - while many parents don't even have that option.

And it's unfair that selective intakes cherry-pick some children and leave others behind. And it's unfair that the current Academy system allows the super-wealthy to buy influence over education, while so many state schools are struggling.

  • The Greens are fighting for a fair deal for families, with properly funded local schools accountable to parents and local authorities, so that every child is given the best possible chance in life.

Fair is worth fighting for
